Since your election, by those ignoring The United States Housing Act of 1937 federal law, thousands, especially children living in cockroach infested public housing, died from cockroach allergen. The New England Journal of Medicine cited two reasons for the increase: “Cockroach allergy and exposure to high levels of this allergen.” The Thoracic Society International study found: “Children exposed to cockroaches within the first twelve months of life were twice as likely as those not exposed to develop asthma.” The cockroach is a known carrier of over forty different pathogens including: pneumonia, food poisoning, Salmonella and typhoid per World Health Organization Study. Parents’ worst nightmare is rushing a child to the hospital with an asthma attack and/or a roach lodged in its’ ear.
